Crochet Spider Candy Bowl

This pattern is adapted from the Deborah Norville's Halloween Spider Candy Bowl.

Skill Level: Easy

Hook Sizes: Clover H (5 mm) & G (4.25 mm)

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Party (Snow Sparkle & Black Sparkle), Caron Simply Soft (Neon Yellow & Neon Coral), Lion Brand Fun Fur (Color 207)

Finished Size: 16" wide x 9" high, 4" diameter candy bowl

Cut black plastic canvas 3” tall by 13 ½” long (smooth edges around) for basket sides.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Basket: black

Ch 52, T

Rows 1 – 28: sc across (50)

Block, fold over canvas, whip all edges, attach ends

Bottom: black

Cut circle in plastic canvas

Make ring

Rnd 1: 12 dc

Rnd 2: 24 dc

Rnd 3: 36 dc

Whip to plastic canvas, sew to side walls

Legs x8: black

Ch 46, T

Rows 1 -3: sc across

Insert 2 black pipe cleaners

Whip edges, leave tail, sew to basket sides

Eyes x2: White G hook, ch 2

Rd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch, sl st
Rd 2: 2 sc in each st around (10)
Rd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around (15)
Rd 4‐5: Sc in each st around (15)
Rd 6: *Sc2tog, sc in next st; rep from * around (10 sts), stuff
Rd 7: Sc2tog (3)w

Glue google eyes, sew to basket

Mouth: fluorescent orange

Ch 20, knot both ends, leave tails, whip to basket

Hair: fluorescent yellow green & teal lime fun fur, cut strands
